Divine Peace Dispels All Human Fears

On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you." When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you." John 29:19-21 (ESV).

Dear Heavenly Father, your peace is divinely and freely given to me. Each time I pause and say a little prayer to you, i receive this wonderful and amazing peace. This quiet assurance gives rest to my soul, and it gives no room for human fear to come into my mind, let alone dwell in my heart. Let me commune with you quietly and enjoy your abiding presence throughout the day. Also, let all who cross my path will experience your divine peace, as you work in their troubling heart. Lord Jesus, I give thanks to you for making this peace possible by dying on the cross for the forgiveness of my sins, thus reconciling me to God. In your precious name I give thanks.
