Our Names Are In The Book Of Life

Yes, I ask you also, true companion, help these women, who have labored side by side with me in the gospel together with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.  Philippians 4:3 ESV

Reflection: Regardless of how we seem to have failed one another or are spiritually or emotionally affected by the behaviours of brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ, apostle Paul is reaffirming us to keep helping each other, not forgetting that everyone whose heart is regenerated and spirit saved by the power of the Holy Spirit has his name written in the Book of Life.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for forgiving, saving, nurturing and strengthening me to grow into Christlikeness and may i help my brothers and sisters to be like Christ.

Reflection: We have because He gives, and we have become who we are because of Him. Giving thanks to God for this loving relationship is the basis for all our thanksgiving to God.

Beauty Of God's Wisdom

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. James 3:17 ESV

Reflection: Experiencing God's divine wisdom in our lives especially during difficult times enables us to be calm, collected, confident and conscientious because our heart, first and foremost, remains pure which is the essential spiritual condition to sense His abiding presence.

Reflection: Because God's love has been our motivation to care and share with people without Christ, our life and whole being, sacrificial yet loving, brings a beautiful fragrance as offering before the throne of His grace.

Dear Heavenly Father, may the joy of the Lord and love of God continue to my strength to be the light of the world and salt of the earth.

Reflection: Showing kindness to oneself and others is the desire of God through which His blessings of peace, joy and goodness flow into every receiver who just needs a touch of Jesus.

Reflection: Besides man who is God's very good and dearest creation of all His handiworks, our most precious treasure on this side of Heaven is the eternal and holy Word of God because God is the Author and He makes every promise, hope, assurance and truth in this inspired Word happens to us.

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to go deeper into this great treasure and strengthen my love for and trust in you everyday.

True Freedom As Christ's Disciples

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, "If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:31-32 ESV

Reflection: As disciples of Jesus Christ, we experience true freedom to be what we should be in God's divine plan without being hindered by sins, sicknesses or Satan. This is because His holy Word, the truth of God being rooted in our heart, completely sets us free to be like Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father, may my mind be saturated with more and more of your holy Word like a lamp on my feet and light to my path.

I rise before dawn and cry for help; I hope in your words. My eyes are awake before the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promise. Psalm 119:147-148 ESV

Reflection: Our spirit yearns to hear God's voice and our heart desires to please our Lord Jesus because this is a divine work of the Holy Spirit when we meditate on God's Word before we go to work and before we go to bed. He enables us to feel, think and behave like Christ when He was on earth always trusting God in all things.

Dear Heavenly Father, I delight in talking with you as I read and meditate on your divine truths every morning and evening.

Reflection: Frustration, strife and anxiety are some of man's unpleasant emotions being experienced that could be due to an inability to comprehend the working of God in situations where only faith in God's Word and trust in His providence are what God desires of us.

Dear Heavenly Father, grant me the joy of knowing and feeling your loving presence as i trust you for enlightening me while walking and co-labouring with you.

Reflection: One dominant sin that may be bugging us for a long time now can be totally broken and its source be completely uprooted by the divine power wrought by our simple obedience to the Holy Word of Creator God from whom all forms of lives are created.

Dear Heavenly Father, let me deepen my desire for your Word and thirst after your righteousness.

God Knows We Truly Love Him

When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs." Psalm 21:15 ESV

Reflection: Despite knowing Peter does love Him, Jesus wants Peter to know that He knows about it, and this comes with a lifelong mission for one who deeply loves the Lord - to continue the life-changing work of Jesus by bringing the unloved who are despised, depressed and disillusioned into the Kingdom of His great love and mercy.

Dear Heavenly Father, because of your unconditional love for me even before I was born, and more so when you let me experienced personally your love on the day Christ came into my life, I truly desire to feed your lamb wherever you lead

Reflection: God always reveals Himself to us in a personal way especially since the day we received Christ for His sanctifying work of empowering us to be holy and loving and righteous means a lot to Him and to us too before Christ returns.

Reflection: God's promises in His Word like being our hiding place and shield give us hope that brings vitality, purpose and encouragement to our spirit empowering us to live out the abundant life in Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for the divine peace because of the hope you have given me in your Word - hope of salvation, healing and deliverance from sins, sickness and Satan.

Let The Lamp Light Up

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105 ESV

Reflection: Because it is possible and always does that God's Word in us can remain just a mere, lifeless Word like a lamp without light. Therefore we must "light up" God's Word by reading and meditating on it daily, and always with an obedient heart to incline to do His Will so that the fruit of the Spirit is evident and our walk with the Lord purposeful, planful and powerful.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am deeply grateful that with the inspired and infallible Word in my heart, my spirit shall soar with you anew and afresh every new day.

Reflection: Tasting the sweetness of God's holy Word is experiencing the sweetness of Jesus in our lives resulting from meditating on His assurances, guidance, promises, wisdom, correction as well as obeying the prompting and leading of the Holy Spirit.

Dear Heavenly Father, may I experience the strong and unique fragrance of Christ in me as i saturate my heart and mind with your divine truths and revelations.

Reflection: Because God is faithful and He cannot change even though at times we may lack faith in Him or become faithless with reason known only to us and God, our lives shall always be safely in His arm forever as children washed by Christ's precious blood and redeemed to be with Father God now and throughout eternity.

Dear Heavenly Father, I know Christian life has its ups and downs, however, I also know that your faithfulness always brings me back to you to continue to abide in your love and experience the divine peace in my heart.

Reflection: Despite sin-tainted earth we live in, God's love can be seen in His amazing handiworks that surround us, be it seen in human or nature, for the Holy Spirit keeps revealing and leading us to withhold the beauty of our Lord Jesus Christ who is full of grace and truth.

Reflection: God speaks to us when we need to make wise decision or  speak uplifting words, and His favourite channel is by making His Word, which we have kept in our heart daily, alive in our spirit that can guide and lead us so that sin shall not dwell in us.
