Questionable Conduct Grieving The Spirit

You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. Matthew 5:13 (ESV).

Heavenly Father this is so real and serious that it can happen to me if my walk and my talk are inconsistent, and do not reflect the faith I profess. May I deliberately take some quiet moments today to reflect on this solemn truth, and examine how this saltiness in me can positively influence people around me. Dear Heavenly Father may I be the salt to make someone thirst creating a genuine desire to want to know the true meaning of life. In Jesus' wonderful name I pray.

Righteousness Matters To Christ

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Matthew 5:10-12 (ESV).

Dear Lord Jesus I pray for the strength to face daily challenges without compromising on righteous living for I know this matters to you. I also pray for wisdom to speak truth firmly yet lovingly. Let your love be my motivation to please you while managing difficult people and handling unfavourable cursumstances. May I grow in this area of my walk with you Lord. Hunger For The Things Of God

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3 (ESV).

Heavenly Father i am aware of the ever increasing knowledge surrounding me especially in the Internet realm, which often tends to overload my finite mind with tons of information. I know this would result in getting me distracted from seeking the things of God, and thus hindering me from growing stronger in my spirit and developing spiritual intimacy with you. I am indeed blessed and am called blessed as well, for the Kingdom of Heaven is already in my heart, even though I shall also be ushered into the glorious Kingdom of Heaven when Christ shall rule and reign eternally. Holy Father help me to understand what is to be poor in my spirit, and empower me to constantly and daily hunger for the things of God. In Jesus' wonderful name I ask and pray.

Jesus Brings Salvation, Healing And Deliverance

And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people. So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons, epileptics, and paralytics, and he healed them. Matthew 4:23-24 (ESV).

Dear Lord Jesus reading this awesome portion of the Scripture calls me to re-examine what i have tasted and enjoyed this good news from you all these years. I have tasted healing of my spirit, soul and body. O Lord today I am reminded that you are still earnestly reaching out to anyone who is physically sick, mentally unwell and spiritually lost. May I start to share your love and power of this good news with my neighbors, friends, colleugues and, more importantly, family members and loved ones today. I give you praise and thanks Jesus.

Heart Of Jesus Is Discipleship And Evangelism

And he said to them, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Matthew 4:19 (ESV).

Lord Jesus you make disciples by your being and doing. They learn that character, knowledge and skills are essential, as well as obedience and faith to fulfill the great commission of making disciples wherever they are sent. May I let this biblical truth sink and take root deep into my spirit, and prepare to go and make disciples who will walk the narrow path. Let your grace be richly upon me Lord Jesus. Open my spiritual eyes and renew in me a fresh vision of the Cross upon which you declared, "It is finished" as your blood dripped continously from your pierced body.. Like Thomas, I cry too, "My Lord and my God!". Thank you Jesus for your eternal love for and in me.

Repentance Is Kingdom's Treasured Virtue

From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matthew 4:17 (ESV).

Heavenly Father this is a beautiful and wonderful virtue being experienced in your Kingdom. I am feeling the joy of this refreshing dew for my heart is humbled by this Kingdom mentality of living a lifestyle of repentance right from the day I entered into the Kingdom of Heaven. Exercising this heavenly virtue enables me to repent and receive forgiveness each time i commit sin against you, knowingly or unintentionally. I desire to  walk in your holiness, love, righteousness and anointing. A Heart Of Worship And Service

Heavenly Father I am reminded that no matter what may be, my heart will always worship and serve you all the days of my life. It is because of Jesus, your beloved Son and my elder Brother, who has given everything to me, even His very life. With the resurrection life already deposited in me, I shall always be remained far-sighted and focused for my foundation and anchor of my soul is Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Spiritual Vitality Is By Living Out God's Word

But he answered, "It is written, "'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" Matthew 4:4 (ESV).

Heavenly Father this wonderful scripture enlightens my understanding that I can always have intimate relationship with you and experience spiritual vitality by hearing and obeying your voice. You are constantly speaking to me through reading and meditating your Word, appreciating nature and wonderful people all around me. Father may my mind be constantly sanctified and pure so that when you speak through all these, I can clearly hear you and faithfully live out what you want me to do. I thank you for revealing your goodness and greatness through the things I see, touch, taste, smell and hear every day like the sky, wind, trees, clouds, cats, and many beautiful people all around me. As i respond to you by whispering simple prayers of thanksgiving and adoration, I feel renewed and revitalized in my spirit. Thank you holy Father for these daily experiences that shall keep me from walking in the flesh and falling into the trap of Satan. In Jesus' blessed name I give you praise.

Living A Life Well Pleasing To God

And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; and behold, a voice from heaven said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased." Matthew 3:16-17 (ESV).

Heavenly Father I treasure this relationship with you for this is really what matters while living on this earth and even in Heaven. Like Jesus, I desire my whole being - emotions, thoughts and conduct, be pleasing to you. May I grow stronger and deeper in clear obedience to your way and will. Teach me to live a life that is truly well pleasing to you bringing joy and gladness to your heart. Wonderful Father I rejoice in your faithfulness, mercy and steadfast love for they are given to me afresh and anew every morning. I give you thanks in Jesus' mighty name.

Heart Preparation For The Harvesting Of Souls

"Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah when he said, "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: 'Prepare the way of the Lord; make his paths straight.'" Matthew 3:2-3 (ESV).

Dear Heavenly Father I hear you saying that wherever you put me and as I interact with various people in the workplace and on the street, I can prepare the way for the Lord to touch lives. As i walk in your love and be sensitive to your Spirit, may my words and actions soften their heart so that they can have an encounter with you personally. Let today be a blessed day filled with peace, righteousness and joy of the Holy Spirit. I pray in Jesus' wonderful name.

Hearing God's Voice Despite Human Fear

But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there, and being warned in a dream he withdrew to the district of Galilee. Matthew 2:22 (ESV).

Heavenly Father thank you for always speaking to me and guiding me despite having feelings of uncertainty, ambiguity and even fear and anxiety at times. In situation like this, you have a way of communicating to enable me to hear your voice, just like Joseph could hear you guiding him through dreams. Thank you for this assurance. I cast every fear and doubt into your guiding hand. I receive your peace Father. In Jesus' name I pray.

A Life Of Purpose, Hope, Worship and Obedience

When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. And going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh. And being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed to their own country by another way. Matthew 2:10-12 (ESV).

Dear Heavenly Father, the exceedingly joy of finally seeing Jesus and giving reverent worship to Him by the wise men must be the greatest moment in all of their life experiences. It seems like everything that their heart pursued and wanted is completely fulfilled and indeed overflowing. You speak to them throughout their journey of hope, purpose, worship love, and obedience. Father let this desire to experience a life of true worship and reverent obedience be a daily pursuit. May I draw closer to you and walk with you, as you reveal more of yourself to me. In Jesus' precious name I ask and pray.

Miracles Come From Holy Spirit

Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. Matthew 1:18 (ESV).

Dear Heavenly Father, the miraculous birth of Jesus comes from the work of the Holy Spirit, and also all of Jesus' miracles. I am reminded that as your child i am walking with you by the power of the Holy Spirit believing for the supernatural for the salvation, deliverance and healing of prebelievers. O Father I shall worship you always whether I am here on earth or in Heaven for you are my God and Abba Father. In Jesus' blessed name I pray.

His Word + His Vioce = His Presence

This is the disciple who is bearing witness about these things, and who has written these things, and we know that his testimony is true. Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. John 21:24'25 (ESV).

Dear Heavenly Father, whenever i read the life of Jesus, particularly His words and works, I receive strength and joy in my spirit. O Holy Spirit continue to enlighten and empower me I pray for hearing your voice assures me of abiding In the sweet presence of God. Lord Jesus, I also want to thank you for being the most cherished and adored person in my life. You are everything to me. I will keep denying myself, take up my cross daily and follow you faithfully. I pray in your blessed name Lord Jesus.

Living Or Dying God Be Glorified

Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go." (This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, "Follow me." John 21:18-19 (ESV).

Dear Lord Jesus, like Peter, you already know how and when my earthly life shall end. It is truly by your grace that I do not know and need not have to know now. You shall reveal to me when it is time for my departure to be with you. Right now I simply follow you with a pure heart and a childlike faith. My sincrre desie is to glorify God whether I am living or dying for I am sustained and strengthened all the times by your grace and mercy. Thank you Jesus that through you I have the joy of salvation, the fellowship with the Holy Spirit, and the love of Heavenly Father. In your mighty name I ask and pray.

Love Bears, Hopes, Believes, Endures

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or
resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 ( ESV).

Heavenly Father, truly hallowed be your name for your love is perfect and holy. Father, because you love me without condition, you bear with me in spite of my many weaknesses and stubbornness. You have hope to see me never give up in trusting and loving you throughout this life journey with you. You believe in me that i will not stop sharing this divine love with those still dwelling in spiritual darkness. You endure all my shortcomings allowing me to learn and grow at my own pace. Father, i give thanks for being my Abba Father. Guide me, O Father, to someone whom I can share and be touched by your divine love today. In Jesus' loving name I pray.

Walk By Faith, Not Sight

Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe." John 20:27 (ESV).

Dear Lord Jesus, It is so tempting to go with the flow, walking by sight using the natural mind to guide me. I confess that many times I simply make decisions without seeking you or getting you involved. Faith in you for daily or future direction does not come naturally. Now you are reminding me that I can believe in you and trust you completely. Lord I bring to you all my needs and concerns before your throne of grace and ask for your mercy. Guide me and empower me to make the right decisions regarding everything you have entrusted me including time, talents and treasure. In your mighty name I pray.

Divine Peace Dispels All Human Fears

On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you." When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you." John 29:19-21 (ESV).

Dear Heavenly Father, your peace is divinely and freely given to me. Each time I pause and say a little prayer to you, i receive this wonderful and amazing peace. This quiet assurance gives rest to my soul, and it gives no room for human fear to come into my mind, let alone dwell in my heart. Let me commune with you quietly and enjoy your abiding presence throughout the day. Also, let all who cross my path will experience your divine peace, as you work in their troubling heart. Lord Jesus, I give thanks to you for making this peace possible by dying on the cross for the forgiveness of my sins, thus reconciling me to God. In your precious name I give thanks.

My Father, Your Father; My God Your God!

Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?" Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away." Jesus said to her, "Mary." She turned and said to him in Aramaic, "Rabboni!" (which means Teacher). Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'" Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord"-and that he had said these things to her. John 20:15-18 (ESV).

Heavenly Father, what Mary Magdalene does, waking up while it is still dark and making her way to the tomb, speaks volume of her deep love for you and her earnest desire to see you, even if it is just seeing your physical body. To see her stooped and wept, she must have been feeling a great sense of loss. Truly this grieved her immensely. Father I see you are teaching me to know whom I have believed and what I am entrusted with, knowing that I am accepted, forgiven, loved, and empowered. Dear Father, like Mary, help me to be focused, joyful, and courageous, as I desire to know Christ and make Him known so that many will say like Mary 'I have seen the Lord! '. In Jesus' precious name I pray.

In His Will, With His Providence

After these things Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus, and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took away his body. Nicodemus also, who earlier had come to Jesus by night, came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds in weight. So they took the body of Jesus and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as is the burial custom of the Jews. Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. So because of the Jewish day of Preparation, since the tomb was close at hand, they laid Jesus there. John 19:38-42 (ESV).

Dear Heavenly Father, Jesus lived and walked according to your perfect will while on earth. In His death, you ensured that every providence was taken care of. You arranged for Joseph and Nicodemus to give Jesus a proper burial for his body was bound in linen cloth with spices, and laid inside a new burial place. Father, as i live and walk in your perfect will, I shall have no lack in that your timely and perfect providence will always be there to meet all my needs. Thank you for this assurance of divine providence. In Jesus' blessed name I pray.

Purposeful Living Purposeful Death

When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, "It is finished," and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. John 19:30 (ESV).

Dear Heaven Father, as I solemnly ponder on this last moment my Lord and Savior was on earth, I am experiencing this inner joy hearing His triumphant declaration that everything needed to be done to save my soul and reconcile with you was completely finished. Truly no one and nothing can add to or subtract from Christ's redemptive work. However in this reflection, I hear you saying that my life can be one with clear purpose filled with your love and power, as I deny myself, take up the cross and follow Jesus. Then, my death shall be a purposeful one knowing that God's love is being experienced by many, many lives. Father, empower me to be courageous to walk the narrow way like Jesus ignoring the temptation to find meaning in this world system and the carnal pleasures it brings.. In Jesus' name I pray.

In Pain, Yet Remember

When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son!" Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!" And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home. John 19-26-27 (ESV).

Dear Lord Jesus, humanly I would not be able to understand the excruciating pain being crucified at the wooden cross for so many hours. Yet in such deep and profound pain, you still remember people who are dearest to you. Mary's heart must have been deeply touched by the practical love you have shown towards her. Lord, teach me to be other-centered even when in discomfort condition, either physically or mentally. May I not turn into self-pity or feel worthless in such situation, but to look to you for strength and grace to overcome this difficult patch. Also, i need to be thankful that my loved ones and dear friends are also walking with me and giving me support in many meaningful ways. Lord, this is my prayer and in your mighty name I pray.

Strengthen My Moral Fibre

The Jews answered him, "We have a law, and according to that law he ought to die because he has made himself the Son of God." When Pilate heard this statement, he was even more afraid. John 19:7-8 (ESV).

Heavenly Father, Pilate's conscience was sharply pricked and this great discomfort led him to search his heart, even though it was a brief one. Father i know you desire that i have a good conscience that will help me to live a life of holiness for without which I would not be able to come into your presence, let alone experience you. As I keep reading, mediating and applying your living Word everyday, may the moral fibre in me continue to be strengthened and my moral compass always pointing to you, Holy Father. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus I pray.

Hold Fast, He Knows, He Answers

Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let bus hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:14-16 (ESV).

Dear Lord Jesus, you know my weaknesses and strengths. You want me to talk with you my deepest concern for nothing can be hidden from you. Today, I confess every fear and anxiety to you asking for your grace to overcome them. Let your peace fill my heart as I receive your mercy. I am holding fast my confession and confidence in you for you are my great high priest and are always there for me. Thank you Lord. I feel your strength upon me. I give you praise my gracious Lord. In your mighty name I pray.
