My Cup My Journey

So Jesus said to Peter, "Put your sword into its sheath; shall I not drink the cup that the Father has given me?" John 18:11 (ESV).

Heavenly Father, the cup that Jesus drank enabled Him to say that "It is finished". His journey with you was filled with obedience, love and faith. Father, by your grace and mercy may I journey with you and always be ready to drink the cup that is my portion. Empower me to walk steadfastly to the hope and confidence I have in you. May I not be deceived by walking on the path of cheap grace and empty promises of prosperity gospel that would nullify the obedience of Christ and His suffering on the cross. Grant me a renewed vision of the cross and a fresh revelation of the power and love of the resurrected Christ. Oh Father i pray again, let my heart be pure and faith simple. Thank you Father. In Jesus' name I pray and give thanks

God's Word Set Me Apart

Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. John 17:17 (ESV).

Heavenly Father, thank you for today and another fresh new week walking in your love, peace and joy. Your life-giving Word gives Me strength, vitality and gladness to my spirit. Oh it sets me apart to serve you faithfully and walk obediently to my calling. With my heart constantly abiding in you and your Word, I am able to have Kingdom mentality and to bear fruits that truly count for eternity. I commit this new and blessed day to your guiding hand knowing that you will lead me to touch someone needy with your unconditional love today. In Jesus' name I pray.

Living Out God's Love In The Community

Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. James 1:27 (ESV).

Dear Lord Jesus, this scripture reminds me that you spend most of the time walking on the streets and travelling from one province to another to bring God's love to the marginalised in the community. Lord, may i not remain in the comfort zone in my air-con church building enjoying the nice music, wonderful songs and great preaching Sunday of Sunday, without giving a thought to the marginalised in the community like the construction workers, domestic helpers, physically and mentally handicapped, single parents, elderly, sick, gambling and drug addicts, and many more. Indeed, Lord, I am aware that to love you with all my heart, soul and strength means to care and love for the marginalised with the gifts, talents, time, finances, and every resource given to me. Lead me to these people who need a touch of your awesome agape love. In Jesus' wonderful name I pray.

Listen To And Guided By Truth

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. John 16:13 (ESV).

Dear Holy Spirit, learning to listen to your voice and obey every instruction correction, rebuke and to receive constant affirmation is my desire for this is walking and abiding in truth. With this assurance of divine guidance, I am experiencing inner joy and peace on a daily basis. Help me Holy Spirit to yearn for your companion and fellowship, and be sensitive to your gentle nudging amid the many voices pulling me away from hearing your still small voice. I worship and adore you Spirit of the living God. In Jesus" mighty name I pray.

Hated But Chosen

"If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. John 15:18-19 (ESV).

Heavenly Father, I am understanding more of the culture of consumerism and the great tendency for self preservation living in this current worldly system. In the workplace, I am being tempted daily to go along with its flow. I am also beginning to sense more dislike and displeasure towards me by people who have difficulty understanding the divine relationship between us. Father, may my heart remain pure and faith simple while facing the subtlety of such temptation and testing. May this affirmation that I am chosen out of the world to be with you sink into my spirit, and increase my desire to love you and walk closer with you. In Jesus' name I pray.

Jesus' Legacy is Fruits That Last

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. These things I command you, so that you will love one another. John 15; 16-17 (ESV).


Dear Lord Jesus, you leave with us the best legacy which is God's love - the fruits which remain, lasting and eternal. Receiving, experiencing and giving God's love is made possible because you obey God and display this great love at the cross of calvary. May my motivation, thoughts and behaviours this week be an extension of God's unconditional and sacrificial love to others. Lord Jesus, truly you are my Source of life, love and lot. May I remember always that God's love is the fruit that lasts and shall also be my legacy when you call me home. I give you praise and thanks.

Being Holy Is A Lifestyle

As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, "You shall be holy, for I am holy." 1 Peter 1:14-16 (ESV).

Heavenly Father, teach me to understand and experience the true meaning of holiness in my being and my doing today. Holy Spirit, cleanse my heart that my conscience be pure. Let me walk with you and be sensitive to your guidance so that my words and deeds shall glorify God and encouraging man to examine the vacuum in their heart which onlyJesus can fill. Thank you Father for yet another blessed day. In Jesus' name I pray.

Spirit In Me Manifests Divine Peace

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27 (ESV).

Dear Holy Spirit, you came into my life, and live with and in me since the day I repented and received forgiveness of my sins asking Jesus to be my Savior and Lord. I thank you for your abiding presence manifesting yourself to let me experience the divinely given fruit of the Spirit including peace that the world will never experience. I'd like to experience your peace in a deeper way in this blessed Tuesday and may those interacting with me sense the manifested presence of your peace. In Jesus' wonderful name I give thanks.

I Love Therefore I Obey

"If you love me, you will keep my commandments. John 14:15 (ESV).

Dear Heavenly Father, I know you love me and want me to greet you and talk with you as my Abba Father daily and at any moment of the day. I can sense that you speak to me many times, albeit quietly, by whispering a scriptural verse or two into my spirit. Oh Father how previous are all these words of encouragement, comfort,  guidance and peace. Today you affirm my love for you because I am constantly reading, meditating, and praying over the promises and instructions of your living Word knowing that obedience to them bring joy to my soul and delight to you. I worship and adore you Father. In Jesus' name I pray.

I Love Because He First Loved

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. ³⁵ By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”  John 13:34-35 (ESV).

Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for loving me and leading me to God-fearing and loving disciples whom I can give and receive care and support .  As your disciple, may I have many wonderful divine opportunities to share with others, believers and pre-believers, the unconditional love of the Father, the compassion of Christ, and the comfort of the Holy Spirit. Lord, your love for and in me has made me become who I am – a disciple of Jesus, thank you my Lord and Saviour!  

Betrayal Hurts Trust Heals

After saying these things, Jesus was troubled in his spirit, and testified, "Truly, truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me." John 13:21 (ESV).

Dear Lord Jesus, truly it hurts deeply to be betrayed. May your experience teach me to be sensitive with words and cautious with actions enabling others to experience God's love and not man's betrayal. Help me to create trust in every relationship, and faithful to the holy calling you give me. In Jesus' name I pray.

Healing The Hardened Heart

Therefore they could not believe. For again Isaiah said, "He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them." John 12:39-40 (ESV).

Dear Heavenly Father, I bring before you my loved ones - siblings, relatives, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and also friends, colleagues and acquaintances before your throne of grace. May they soften their heart to receive healing for their spirit, soul and body. Open their spiritual eyes to see what Christ has done on the cross for them in that their sins have already been forgiven.  Oh Father, reveal yourself to them and let them experience your rich mercy and amazing grace. Lead me to be there for them as your instrument of love and reconciliation. Thank you Father for remembering my loved ones. In Jesus' name I ask and pray.

Divine Peace Through Prayer

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 (ESV).

Heavenly Father, I thank you for the freshness of this new day and the divine peace in my spirit. I am conscious of your abiding presence, but also am mindful of the external circumstances and activities of the day capable of filling my mind with anxious thoughts. I shall remember to commune with you knowing that you hear my prayer letting your peace rule my heart. I again give thanks to you Father for this wonderful assurance from your living Word. In Jesus' name I pray.

Fearing God Is Who You Are

Nevertheless, many even of the authorities believed in him, but for fear of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God. John 12; 42-43 (ESV).

Dear Lord, temptation to succumb to the fear of man in the workplace happens almost daily, particularly in relating to my boss, immediate superior or even colleagues. The reasons to fear man are never pleasing to you. I take this as a timely rebuke to correct myself for I shouldn't behave contrary to what my heart desires. Lord I submit this specific area to your lordship trusting that you will empower me in my speech and action at all times. May i experience the joy, peace and power of the Holy Spirit as I choose to fear God and not man. In Jesus' name I ask and pray.

Living A Christ-centred Life

Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. John 12:24-25 (ESV).

Lord Jesus, you show me what really matters by the life you live and hating the world which is evil and perishing. Truly your death brings eternal life to me. Let today be for me a rich, memorable experience of walking a Christ-centred life that sees victory over the world, flesh and the evil one by your grace and mercy. In Jesus' name I pray.

Giving Jesus The Best

Mary therefore took a pound of expensive ointment made from pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume…. Jesus said, “Leave her alone, so that she may keep it for the day of my burial.  John 12:3,7 (ESV).

Dear Lord, Mary gives you her heart, the most important and the best gift which you deserve.  The beautiful expression of this gift of love releases a wonderful fragrance that fills the whole house and blesses everyone in it.  Like Mary, I desire to express in practical ways the love I have for you, so that many shall experience the sweet aroma of Christ and be led to seek God earnestly. I commit this fresh, new week to your guiding hand. In  your powerful name I pray.

Answered Prayers Draw People To Believe God

So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, "Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this on account of the people standing around, that they may believe that you sent me." John 11:41-42 (ESV).

Dear Heavenly Father, you always hear every sincere prayer from my heart. As you hear and answer my prayers for the poor to experience the richness of your amazing grace and divine healing for the sick, I believe supernatural things are happening to draw them to put their trust in Jesus. Father, let my prayers bring glory to you and deliverance to many, especially to those who need to have a spiritual encounter with you and believe Jesus as Saviour and Lord. In Jesus' name I pray.

Jesus Was Moved, Troubled And Wept

When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in his spirit and greatly troubled. And he said, "Where have you laid him?" They said to him, "Lord, come and see." Jesus wept. So the Jews said, "See how he loved him!" John 11:33-36 (ESV).

Dear Lord Jesus, I am not alone whenever I am in difficult or challenging times for your comforting and loving presence shall always be there to strengthen me. Truly you are full of empathy and love for this is who you are to me. I am very blessed by your deep friendship with Martha, Mary and Lazarus. May I grow in deeper intimacy with you Lord as I desire to walk faithfully with you each day. I give you praise Jesus!

I'm Known By Jesus

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27 (ESV).

Dear Lord Jesus, you have called me, chosen me and committed to walk with me all the days of my life here on earth. May i know you more intimately and follow you wholeheartedly by your grace and mercy. Let the joy of the Lord be my strength and let the peace of God guide my heart and mind as I seek to share with others the gospel of your divine love. In Jesus' name I pray.

Hearing And Following Jesus

To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. John 10:3-4 (ESV).

Dear Lord Jesus, you are my good Shepherd for you know me, call me and lead me everyday. In this hurried lifestyle, may I learn to be still and hear your voice so that I can truly follow you to the right pasture where your abiding presence shall comfort and strengthen me. I thank you for this assurance that you always go before me. May my desire to follow you remain steadfast and fulfill the holy calling given me. In your Jesus' name I pray.

Bringing Healing To The Marginalised

Jesus answered, "It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him. We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. John 9:3-4 (ESV).

Dear Lord Jesus, open my eyes to see the many marginalised people like the poor and sick who are filled with great sense of helplessness and hopelessness. May I be sensitive to their needs and concerns. Lead me to bring your healing to their sick body and to experience the joy of salvation for their soul. Let today be a blessed and victorious day doing the will of God by your grace and mercy. In your mighty name Jesus I pray.

Joy Of Hearing God

Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God." John 8:47 (ESV).

Heavenly Father, to hear you first thing in the morning brings so much comfort, love and assurance of your guidance. Knowing and hearing your voice daily, I am no longer afraid of being tossed to and fro by the many competing voices which can easily distract and even discourage me from doing your will. Father, I know I belong to you and am a co-heir with Christ in your Kingdom now and into eternity. Thank you for the strength and grace to serve you yet another beautiful week for indeed every new day is a divine gift from you. In Jesus' name I give thanks.

Fresh Revelation Of The Cross

I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins.  John 8:24 (ESV).

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that this is a solemn reminder that every soul is laden with sins and without your cleansing blood he will enter eternity without you. Today is the day of National Remembrance for the death of six 12-year told students, a teacher and a guide who died due to the sudden earthquake at Kota Kinabalu where they were hiking. Lord, I need to look at the Cross again.  Do grant me a fresh revelation of the cleansing blood that has completely washed away my sins and reconciled me to God.  May this truth sink deep in my heart and create a strong desire to share this divine truth to my loved ones, close friends, colleagues and even strangers who cross my path.  In Jesus’ name I ask and pray.

Mercy Truimphs Over Judgment

And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.”  John 8:7 (ESV).

Dear Lord Jesus, on  number of occasions you were saddened by my attitude of self-righteousness, judgmental behaviours, and manipulative habits towards others.  However, as I now reflect, you did not condemn me but graciously guided me to repent and forsake those acts of unrighteousness.   May I learn to be merciful and compassionate towards others and becoming more like you Jesus.  Dear Lord, let your unconditional love, great mercy and amazing grace flow and refresh those who need a divine touch today.  In your mightly name Jesus, I pray.     

Deeper Communion With The Holy Spirit

Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, 'Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.'" Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. John 7:38-39 (ESV).

Lord Jesus, having the Holy Spirit is having eternal life, and experiencing life in the Spirit. May I have more of you Holy Spirit and enjoy a greater sense of your presence. May i experience more love, joy, peace, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, kindness, patience and self-control. Let the walk with you today be a deeper knowing of you. Thank you Holy Spirit that you will be. teaching and guiding me at different intervals throughout the day. In Jesus' name I give thanks.

Heart Pure Work Pleasing

Heavenly Father, help me not to lose sight of the marginalised in the community and even those living in nations around me. May my desire to keep my heart pure motivate me to share with the poor and sick what I have received from you. Thanks Father for this timely reminder. In Jesus' name I pray.

Complete Healing Righteous Living

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. 1 Peter 2:24-25 (ESV).

Dear Lord Jesus, by your wounds I have been healed - spirit born again, soul renewed everyday, and body made whole. This experience enables me to have a righteous relationship with God, and empowers me to live righteously in His sight. I know that I am home now with you as my caring and loving Shepherd. Teach me to hear your voice daily to overcome common daily distractions that can easily become a barrier to listen to the still small voice in my spirit. I want to experience the joy of obeying you and the faith to believe the supernatural as i submit to the Holy Spirit's leading today. In Jesus' name I pray.

Indeed No More Condemnation

Jesus stood up and said to her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?" She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more." John 8:10-11 (ESV).

Lord Jesus, no one sin is so great that it cannot be forgiven by you for all kinds of sin have been washed by your blood. Truly I declare now again I am no longer condemned. Never. It is finished! I have right standing and right relationship with God forever. Thank you Jesus!

God Provides In The Place Where His Altar Is

When they came to the place of which God had told him, Abraham built the altar there and laid the wood in order and bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. Then Abraham reached out his hand and took the knife to slaughter his son. But the angel of the LORD called to him from heaven and said, "Abraham, Abraham!" And he said, "Here am I." He said, "Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me." And Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, behind him was a ram, caught in a thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham called the name of that place, "The LORD will provide"; as it is said to this day, "On the mount of the LORD it shall be provided." Genesis 22:9-14 (ESV).

Dear Heavenly Father, like Abraham I want to build an altar for you where in this meeting place, you shall provide me with all that I need. You shall empower me to love you, to serve you, to bless others and to be faithful to my holy calling. Oh Father, I know this altar I am building is an altar of obedience to walk with you, faithfulness to serve you, love to enjoy intimacy with you, and worship to express the fear of the Lord for who you are to me. I truly believe this altar in my heart is made possible by my Lord Jesus, whose altar at the place of Calvary about 2000 years ago, enabling me to receive every provision to live a life of love, faith and hope. Thank you Heavenly Father that my heart shall always be an altar unto you. In Jesus' name I pray.

Abundance Overflows With Purpose

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 (ESV).

Dear Heavenly Father, there are so many things you would want me to have and experience even beyond all my imaginations. Help me to have a deeper reality of your desire to have my cup overflow with abundance so that your glory shall permeate in places filled with darkness, poverty, and death. I want to be such vessel to release the mighty power of God to heal the sick, feed the poor and set captives free. Oh Father, stretch forth your hand of protection upon these people till they are touched by your mercy, grace, healing, restoration, deliverance and salvation. In Jesus' name I ask.
