Death Brings Life

And he went out, bearing his own cross, to the place called The Place of a Skull, which in Aramaic is called Golgotha. There they crucified him, and with him two others, one on either side, and Jesus between them. John 19:17-18 (ESV).

Lord Jesus, today I want to take more time to reflect on the heavy wooden cross you had carried on your back to be crucified. There was great pain in your body and more so in your heart as you gtieved for fallen humanity. The aim of your suffering is to give hope to every one whose eternal destiny can then be with you forever. I desire to know and love you more today, as I meditate on your slow and painful walk to Golgotha to forgive and save me. I worship you Jesus.
