Sensitivity To God's Holy Calling

While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them." Acts 13:2 ESV

Reflection: God makes specific call with clear purpose to us to carry out and complete His divine tasks through which salvation, healing and deliverance are brought to many for the glory of God.

Dear Heavenly Father, may my life be a gift to many particularly to the  poor and sick as i carry out and complete the task that i have been entrusted.

Angel Sent By God

When Peter came to himself, he said, "Now I am sure that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting." Acts 12:11  ESV

Reflection: In times of danger and difficult circumstance in our walk with Jesus, God can send His angel to minister to us for He knows what is best for us.

Dear Heavenly Father, i thank you for the assurance of love, mercy and providence in any and every situation.

Earnest Prayer For God's People

So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church. Acts 12:5 ESV

Reflection: As God's servants labouring together for and with Christ, to constantly keeping one another in prayer is essential and paramount especially brothers and sisters who are under persecution or in great need of spiritual support to experience breakthrough in their circumstances.

Dear Heavenly Father, i thank you for your grace and strength in serving you, and i trust your guidance as my pace-setter, protector and provider.

God Shall Complete It

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6 ESV

Reflection: Our lives and calling on earth have a beginning and an ending because Christ, who saves and sanctifies us, shall bring everything in us into completion according to His purpose, plan and perfect will.

Dear Heavenly Father, may the trust i have in you stand the toughest of times for your grace is sufficient for me all the times.

Ministering To Poor

And one of them named Agabus stood up and foretold by the Spirit that there would be a great famine over all the world (this took place in the days of Claudius).So the disciples determined, everyone according to his ability, to send relief to the brothers living in Judea. Acts 11:28-29 ESV

Reflection: Though being poor is not God's perfect for His people, He prepares and provides for the poor and needy through the Body of Christ that continue to follow His foot step of doing good and saving lives from poverty stricken region.

Dear Heavenly Father, i am deeply encouraged by the magnanimity of your heart of love and the great mercy for poor, powerless and penniless. May i a doer and not only talked of your Word.

Faithfulness in God with Steadfast Purpose

When he came and saw the grace of God, he was glad, and he exhorted them all to remain faithful to the Lord with steadfast purpose. Acts 11:33  ESV

Reflection: God's grace enables us to remain faithful to Jesus and helps us to keep our focus in life with clear and meaningful purpose so that we can deepen our love for God and compassion for the those who need His marvellous grace of love and salvation.

Dear Heavenly Father, may i respond to this great spiritual truth of your divine grace upon me with complete obedience and steadfast trust in your guidance to do your will.

Repentance That Leads To Life

When they heard these things they fell silent. And they glorified God, saying, "Then to the Gentiles also God has granted repentance that leads to life." Acts 11:18  ESV

Reflection: Through the work of the Holy Spirit, God's wonderful grace upon us will touch our heart to repent leading us to experience His life and life abundantly, one that is filled with righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Dear Heavenly Father, i thank you for your abiding presence to comfort me in time of need and confront me in time of disobedience by the gracious work of the Holy Spirit.
