The officers then came to the chief priests and Pharisees, who said to them, “Why did you not bring him?” ⁴⁶ The officers answered, “No one ever spoke like this man!”  John 7:45-46 (ESV).

Lord Jesus, when you speak the hearers sense something different from others, and your words touch their soul.  Dear Lord, put in me the desire to speak words that bring faith, love, purity and comfort to man’s heart. May I be slow to speak and quick to listen, listen to you and truly hear the cry of the poor and sick.  May they experience your grace and mercy Heavenly Father as you lead me to them.  In Jesus’ name I pray.
