Practice Before Preaching

So practice and observe whatever they tell you-but not what they do. For they preach, but do not practice. Matthew 23:3 ESV.

Dear Heavenly Father i shall take heed of this stern reminder in that my life and lifestyle as well as my words and deeds have to be consistent for they do carry a message - whom i have believed and entrusted my life. May i consciously and conscientiously practice everything according to your living Word, before utter a word of advice or instruction to others. Father i desire my heart to be pure and faith simple in fellowshipping with you and man. May this fresh new week be filled with the joy of the Lord and the work that my hands laid upon be meaningful, fruitful and glorifying to you Father. In Jesus' name i give thanks and praise.

Truly Love God And Sincerely Love Man

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.  Matthew 22:37-39 ESV.

Dear Heavenly Father you are a God of love for everything you are and do is characterised by love, divine, unconditional love towards your creation.  My response to you is to truly love you and sincerely love man daily. Help me, Father, to make the feeling and thought of love in me to become visible, tangible and experiential in my daily interaction with people. May I be fully enveloped by your love and reciprocate with the love that comes from a pure heart and a simple faith. I commit today to your loving hand.  In Jesus' name I pray.

Knowing God's Word And His Power

But Jesus answered them, "You are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God." Matthew 22:29 ESV.

Dear Heavenly Father i desire to keep your wonderful Word in my heart at all times so that i can say like the psalmist "thy word have i kept in my heart so that i shall not sin against thee". However i wish to also experience your power which can save, heal amd deliver. I do not want to be ignorance of your Word and your power. May i receive a deeper understanding and experience these two today. In Jesus' blessed name i give thanks!

May My Words Be Seasoned With Salt

They said, "Caesar's." Then he said to them, "Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." Matthew 22:21 ESV.

Dear Heavenly Father i want to be the light of the world and salt of the earth through my words and deeds especially when interacting with people from all walks of life today. I ask for divine wisdom and discernment when conversing with difficult or challenging people. May i be as wise as the serpent and ignorant as a dove. May my words be seasoned with salt that will speak love and peace into the hurting heart and troubled soul. Thank you Father for a blessed Friday with you! In Jesus' wonderful name i pray.

I Am Now Clothed With The Righteousness Of Christ

But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man who had no wedding garment. And he said to him, 'Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?' And he was speechless.Then the king said to the attendants, 'Bind him hand and foot and cast him into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 'For many are called, but few are chosen."  Matthew 21:11-14 ESV.

Dear Heavenly Father i am fully and completely clothed with the righteousness of Christ. To this i am forever grateful to you. I know i am not sinless, but blameless before your throne of grace. i know that this robe of righteousness in me is bought with the previous blood of Christ at the cross. I shall meditate on your Word to let this divine truth sink deep into my spirit. Father may i walk with you having the joy and peace in my heart in yet another blessed day. Lead me Holy Spirit to be a healing hand to someone whose guilt and shame need to be washed by the blood of Christ and be clothed with His righteousness. In Jesus' awesome name i pray and give thanks.

No Longer In Darkness But Light Now And Unending

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9 ESV.

Dear Heavenly Father this is a blessed declaration of who i am and what i should do. Oh what a divine calling and a great privilege to me! Father let me experience a deeper meaning of this spiritual truth this week, especially about me living in God's light right now and throughout eternity. Father let my life be fruitful and the fruits shall last into eternity. In Jesus' name i give thanks to you Father

Truly God Is No Respecter of Persons

For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him. And even when you saw it, you did not afterward change your minds and believe him. Matthew 21:32 ESV.

Dear Heavenly Father every human soul is wonderfully and fearfully created in your divine image and likeness. I know this is my true worth. Help me to see every one in my circle of influence the way you see them. This Scripture tells me that you are no respecter of persons for every one can be made whole and be righteous by taking a step of faith to believe Jesus has forgiven his or her sins at the cross. Father may my family members, friends, and colleagues receive your mercy and grace enabling them to seek for lasting joy and peace by trusting Christ completely.  In Jesus' name I ask and give thanks.
