My Cup My Journey

So Jesus said to Peter, "Put your sword into its sheath; shall I not drink the cup that the Father has given me?" John 18:11 (ESV).

Heavenly Father, the cup that Jesus drank enabled Him to say that "It is finished". His journey with you was filled with obedience, love and faith. Father, by your grace and mercy may I journey with you and always be ready to drink the cup that is my portion. Empower me to walk steadfastly to the hope and confidence I have in you. May I not be deceived by walking on the path of cheap grace and empty promises of prosperity gospel that would nullify the obedience of Christ and His suffering on the cross. Grant me a renewed vision of the cross and a fresh revelation of the power and love of the resurrected Christ. Oh Father i pray again, let my heart be pure and faith simple. Thank you Father. In Jesus' name I pray and give thanks

God's Word Set Me Apart

Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. John 17:17 (ESV).

Heavenly Father, thank you for today and another fresh new week walking in your love, peace and joy. Your life-giving Word gives Me strength, vitality and gladness to my spirit. Oh it sets me apart to serve you faithfully and walk obediently to my calling. With my heart constantly abiding in you and your Word, I am able to have Kingdom mentality and to bear fruits that truly count for eternity. I commit this new and blessed day to your guiding hand knowing that you will lead me to touch someone needy with your unconditional love today. In Jesus' name I pray.

Living Out God's Love In The Community

Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. James 1:27 (ESV).

Dear Lord Jesus, this scripture reminds me that you spend most of the time walking on the streets and travelling from one province to another to bring God's love to the marginalised in the community. Lord, may i not remain in the comfort zone in my air-con church building enjoying the nice music, wonderful songs and great preaching Sunday of Sunday, without giving a thought to the marginalised in the community like the construction workers, domestic helpers, physically and mentally handicapped, single parents, elderly, sick, gambling and drug addicts, and many more. Indeed, Lord, I am aware that to love you with all my heart, soul and strength means to care and love for the marginalised with the gifts, talents, time, finances, and every resource given to me. Lead me to these people who need a touch of your awesome agape love. In Jesus' wonderful name I pray.

Listen To And Guided By Truth

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. John 16:13 (ESV).

Dear Holy Spirit, learning to listen to your voice and obey every instruction correction, rebuke and to receive constant affirmation is my desire for this is walking and abiding in truth. With this assurance of divine guidance, I am experiencing inner joy and peace on a daily basis. Help me Holy Spirit to yearn for your companion and fellowship, and be sensitive to your gentle nudging amid the many voices pulling me away from hearing your still small voice. I worship and adore you Spirit of the living God. In Jesus" mighty name I pray.

Hated But Chosen

"If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. John 15:18-19 (ESV).

Heavenly Father, I am understanding more of the culture of consumerism and the great tendency for self preservation living in this current worldly system. In the workplace, I am being tempted daily to go along with its flow. I am also beginning to sense more dislike and displeasure towards me by people who have difficulty understanding the divine relationship between us. Father, may my heart remain pure and faith simple while facing the subtlety of such temptation and testing. May this affirmation that I am chosen out of the world to be with you sink into my spirit, and increase my desire to love you and walk closer with you. In Jesus' name I pray.

Jesus' Legacy is Fruits That Last

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. These things I command you, so that you will love one another. John 15; 16-17 (ESV).


Dear Lord Jesus, you leave with us the best legacy which is God's love - the fruits which remain, lasting and eternal. Receiving, experiencing and giving God's love is made possible because you obey God and display this great love at the cross of calvary. May my motivation, thoughts and behaviours this week be an extension of God's unconditional and sacrificial love to others. Lord Jesus, truly you are my Source of life, love and lot. May I remember always that God's love is the fruit that lasts and shall also be my legacy when you call me home. I give you praise and thanks.

Being Holy Is A Lifestyle

As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, "You shall be holy, for I am holy." 1 Peter 1:14-16 (ESV).

Heavenly Father, teach me to understand and experience the true meaning of holiness in my being and my doing today. Holy Spirit, cleanse my heart that my conscience be pure. Let me walk with you and be sensitive to your guidance so that my words and deeds shall glorify God and encouraging man to examine the vacuum in their heart which onlyJesus can fill. Thank you Father for yet another blessed day. In Jesus' name I pray.
