Weakening Power Of Sinful Nature By His Grace

And if your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life crippled or lame than with two hands or two feet to be thrown into the eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into the hell of fire. Matthew 18:8-9 ESV.

Dear Heavenly Father I know I am living in two worlds simultaneously - natural and spiritual worlds. Fleshy and evil influences seek to lure me away from living with a pure conscience and a blameless life daily. I pray that every part of my body as well as my thought life be righteous and constantly be in alignment with your living Word by your grace and mercy. Help me to keep very short account with you so that no sin shall be made a barrier to commune with you and may your divine peace be my guide every moment of the day. In Jesus' name I give thanks and praise.

Jesus' Heart Goes To The Needy

And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them... "Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me. Matthew 18:2,5 ESV.

Dear Lord Jesus I thank you for another morning and day with you. Good morning Lord! I read your Word here and it warms my heart to know that you care for the needy even as you would want me to especially embrace little children with the wonderful love I have received from you. Lord help me learn to feel the way you would feel whenever I meet a needy person. May I not hurry through the conversation but be sensitive and discerning to the words and facial expressions so that a particular need can be understood and help can be given. O Lord let me experience the mighty grace of God Almighty to boldly proclaim your divine love to the hurting hearts wherever you lead. In Jesus' awesome name I pray.

Being Childlike Becoming Christlike

Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:4 ESV.

Dear Heavenly Father there is a kingdom, a heavenly one, that is completely filled with divine love and joy unspeakable. As your child i know that I belong to this heavenly home. I thank you that having childlike faith in you helps me grow in humility to be more and more like Christ. Today I shall meditate on this beautiful truth of the meaning of humility that the Kingdom of Heaven calls for. In Jesus' wonderful name I pray.

Believing A Miraculous Experience With God

However, not to give offense to them, go to the sea and cast a hook and take the first fish that comes up, and when you open its mouth you will find a shekel. Take that and give it to them for me and for yourself.” Matthew 17:27 ESV.

Dear Heavenly Father I am amazed by this miracle and am seeing Jesus being sensitive to fellow human needs and He takes practical steps to meet them to glorify you.  Father I pray for an experience with you that I know it is a miracle divinely arranged to meet my needs and bring glory to you. I also pray for those who are sick in the cancer support group to receive a miraculous touch from your healing hand soon, for by His stripes we are healed. Father, let this Wednesday be a blessed day that your manifold blessings shall flow to change the many lives who are groping in the darkness of deception, depression and demonic influences.   Jesus, in you miighty name I ask and pray.

Glorify God Till The Last Breath

As they were gathering in Galilee, Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him, and he will be raised on the third day." And they were greatly distressed. Matthew 17:22-23 ESV.

Dear Heavenly Father may my life on earth be meaningful, purposeful, blessed and selfless for the years i have on earth are given by you. Like Jesus who walks according to your perfect will on earth even at His last breath, may I glorify you with every breath I have from you. Lord Jesus you are the author and perfecter of my faith. Teach me Lord to learn to increase my trust in you. May today be another blessed day to see your unconditional love flow into a soul that yearns for an encounter with you. In your awesome name I pray.

Mustard Seed Faith To Believe Jesus

He said to them, "Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20 ESV.

Dear Lord Jesus i commit this new week to you as I seek to walk by faith in you - everything I know of you and what you are since the day I open my heart to you. Teach me not to walk by sight. I know I have to see beyond the five senses when carrying out daily activities. Lord let my faith see the things you want me to see and obey your instructions to see breakthrough in my life and in the lives of people that I am interacting at work, in ministry, during family time, with friends and strangers alike. Heavenly Father truly great is thy faithfulness! In Jesus' name I give thanks.

A Life Truly Pleasing To God

He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.” Matthew 17:5 ESV.

Dear Heavenly Father truly a life pleasing to you is a moment by moment obedience with the desire and love to please you from my heart. This scripture is one of the two times you have declared from Heaven the strong affirmation of the life of Christ that is so pleasing to you.  Jesus heard twice this audible declaration of your good pleasure for a life well pleasing to you during His three and  half years of ministry.  It brings so much joy to you.  Father, may I walk in a manner that brings similar joy and gladness to you - a life truly pleasing to you! Every day is a new and fresh day which is a precious gift from Heaven. I desire to be an obedient child who knows your heartbeat, and to complete the work you have already prepared for me. In Jesus' wonderful name I give thanks.
