Salvation Is For Family And Friends

And on the following day they entered Caesarea. Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends. Acts 10:24 ESV

Reflection: Like God-fearing Cornelius, we have the wonderful privilege of being the channel of God's great love and mercy so that our family and friends shall experience the joy of the forgiveness of sins and enter into eternity with Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father, may i have the joy of seeing family members and close friends receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Becoming A God-fearing Man

And they said, "Cornelius, a centurion, an upright and God-fearing man, who is well spoken of by the whole Jewish nation, was directed by a holy angel to send for you to come to his house and to hear what you have to say." Acts 10:22 ESV

Reflection: God knows our heart and He honours those whose hearts are upright and directs their steps to experience divine grace, love and mercy.

Dear Heavenly Father, may my heart be pure and faith simple as i experience your grace, love and mercy.

Remember The Poor

Only, they asked us to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do. Galatians 2:10 ESV

Reflection: God takes particular attention to the poor - people who are needy and marginalised and He wants His people to lift them up so that they can experience His grace, mercy and joy.

Dear Heavenly Father, may i be sensitive to your leading and prepare to walk extra mile to touch someone in need of your divine touch today.

Holy Spirit Speaks To Guide

And while Peter was pondering the vision, the Spirit said to him, "Behold, three men are looking for you. Acts 10:19 ESV

Reflection: One clear guidance by God for us to do His Will like evangelising the lost is through speaking directly and clearly to individuals; and therefore, it is of paramount importance that we learn to hear the voice of God.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for yet another fresh new day and week to walk in your love. May my spirit learn to hear your still small voice so that the lost shall be ushered into your kingdom of light.

Expecting Angelic Visitation

About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God come in and say to him, "Cornelius." Acts 10.3 ESV

Reflection: God's angels are ministering spirits that carry clear and specific instructions from God to man so that His purposes are fulfilled.

Dear Heavenly Father, may i be sensitive and discerning to angelic presence in providing me guidance and protection in time of need.

A Life Worth Living

So Peter rose and went with them. And when he arrived, they took him to the upper room. All the widows stood beside him weeping and showing tunics and other garments that Dorcas made while she was with them. Acts 9:39 ESV

Reflection: Every human life has a divine purpose for God has a perfect will for him, so that His blessings shall be upon every obedient child and shall flow to people around him.

Dear Heavenly Father, i  thank you for the wonderful blessings from above constantly pouring upon me for it is truly a great privilege and joy.

God Makes Straight Path

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.  Proverb 3:5-6  ESV

Reflection: Our heart can lean to God with complete trust and not let our mind lead us, so that He can make our path straight for He is our Guide and Helper.

Dear Heavenly Father, truly this refreshing word of your promise encourages me to feel confidence of what i am doing daily knowing your guiding hand is steadfast and secure.

Characteristics Of Christ's Disciples

 ow there was in Joppa a disciple named Tabitha, which, translated, means Dorcas. She was full of good works and acts of charity. Acts 9:36 ESV

Reflection: Being the disciples of Jesus Christ, our daily practical living shall display the compassionate heart of our Lord through good works and acts of kindness and charity for the glory of God.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the love and power of the Holy Spirit who enables me to know you and make you known through words and deeds.

Only Our Lord Jesus Christ Heals

And Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; rise and make your bed." And immediately he rose. Acts 9 :34 ESV

Reflection: Regardless of our bodily condition when we are sick, our trust in Jesus for healing must be steadfast for His grace is sufficient and His mercy is new every morning.

Dear Heavenly Father, may my heart be pure and faith simple towards you for i know you shan't withold good things as i walk with the confidence in the name of Jesus Christ.

Fear Of The Lord And Comfort Of The Holy Spirit

So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied. Acts 9 :31 ESV

Reflection: Our Christian walk is a spiritual journey that requires us to have our heart constantly reflect a holy and awesome fear of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, while continually receiving the comfort of the Holy Spirit enabling us to maintain the reverence and worshipful attitude towards our Lord.

Dear Heavenly Father, may i keep trusting you with holy fear and be comforted by the Holy Spirit.

A Friend In Need Is A Friend Indeed

But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles and declared to them how on the road he had seen the Lord, who spoke to him, and how at Damascus he had preached boldly in the name of Jesus. Acts 9:27  ESV

Reflection: A true friend accepts you and takes you as you are, without any string attached because we are family -  one God, one Lord, one faith, one hope and one destiny.

Dear Heavenly Father, may i truly love my brothers and sisters in the Lord, and also to the lost who do not know that they are sliding towards eternity without you.

God's strength to do God's will

But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who lived in Damascus by proving that Jesus was the Christ. Acts 9:22 ESV

Reflection: Our good works ordained by God is to be done through His strength as the Holy Spirit energises and empower us every day.

Dear Heavenly Father, i thank you that i can and ought to submit my life and everything i do in your guiding hand knowing that every step i take you will strengthen me to do the work that is pleasing to you.

Living A Meaningful Christian Life

So Ananias departed and entered the house. And laying his hands on him he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit." Acts 9:17 ESV

Reflection: Christian life is meaningful and impactful when one is being filled with the Holy Spirit to make a difference in the lives of others.

Dear Heavenly Father, i am truly grateful for the ever abiding presence of the Holy Spirit to instruct, guide, correct and warn me so that i shall always have your peace and power to do your will daily.

God's Will Is Perfect

But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel. Acts 9:15 ESV

Reflection: Like apostles Paul, everyone who is chosen by God shall be given a divine assignment through which the name of Jesus will be made known so that those who believe will receive salvation, healing and deliverance.

Dear Heavenly Father, may my life counts for eternity as i abide in your love and Word to be like Jesus to seek that which was lost.

Audible Voice Of God

And he said, "Who are you, Lord?" And he said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. Acts 9:5 ESV

Reflection: God always speaks to His chosen people in various ways including His audible voice if need to.

Dear Heavenly Father, i thank you for constantly communing with me all the times. May my spirit hear your voice and obey your will.

Know Him And Make Him Known

But Philip found himself at Azotus, and as he passed through he preached the gospel to all the towns until he came to Caesarea. Acts 4:80  ESV

Reflection: A truly obedient disciple who deeply loves Jesus shall pray for God's will to be fulfilled in his life which will inevitably lead him to share God's love, forgiveness and healing to the community in which he lives and works.

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to seek you and hear your heartbeat constantly so that my heart, soul and strength be ever ready to share the wonderful love of Jesus.

Holy Spirit Makes The Difference

Then they laid their hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit. Acts 8:17  ESV

Reflection: Every born again, Bible believing Christian can only make a difference by being filled with the love, joy and righteousness of the Holy Spirit, as opposed to walking in the flesh like non Christians do in their speech and deed.

Dear Heavenly Father, fill me with the Holy Spirit today as i desire to walk with you with a pure heart and a simple faith to touch people around me.

Looking Into Heaven

But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. Acts 7:55  ESV

Reflection: In times of great needs, pain or persecution, God can comfort and strengthen us when we look to Him for divine grace as we lift our head towards Heaven and quietly, but confidently, trust Him wholeheartedly for deliverance and salvation.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this beautiful and blessed Monday and for granting me the assurance of your presence, power and peace. Thank you Father.

Full Of Grace And Power

And Stephen, full of grace and power, was doing great wonders and signs among the people. Acts 6:8 ESV

Reflection: Walking with Jesus shall lead us to live and do God's will evident by grace and power of the Holy Spirit whom we have received upon accepting Christ as our Savior and Lord.

Dear Heavenly Father, i thank you and praise you for filling my heart with divine grace and your power in order to display the marvellous work done in Christ Jesus.

People Need To Hear God's Word

And the word of God continued to increase, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests became obedient to the faith. Acts 6:7 ESV

Reflection: To help a lost soul hears how one's sins have already been washed by the precious blood of Jesus and one can receive God's unconditional love without having to perform any good works in order to measure up is truly the greatest news on earth.

Dear Heavenly Father, may my lips never cease to share this wonderful gospel of Jesus, as you open up opportunity to do so daily.

Witnessing Is The Way Of Life

And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ. Acts 5:42 ESV

Reflection: Because Christ is in us, our thought, speech, and action are able to reflect Him, and direct the spiritually blind to the marvellous good news of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Dear Heavenly Father, may this day be for me an opportunity to touch the life of someone who deeply needs a touch of your divine love.

Holy Spirit Is Like The Breath

And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him." Acts 5:32 ESV

Reflection: Holy Spirit is so close to us like the breath we take in without us being conscious about it for He is a Spirit who lives in us and desires to commune with us.

Dear Heavenly Father, i thank you for the greatest blessing and highest privilege to have to companion of the Holy Spirit enabling me to feel your love constantly and to co-labour with Him in doing your will for my life on earth.

Repentance And Forgiveness

God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. Acts 5:31 ESV

Reflection: Repentance and forgiveness of sins is through Jesus Christ for this authority and power is bestowed upon Him because He went to the cross for us, thus redeeming us from slavery to sins and rescuing us from eternal fire.

Dear Heavenly Father, my life was wretched, weary and found wanting, but your saving grace brings light, love and liberty to my soul. Thank you Lord Jesus!

Angels Are With Us

But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, "Go and stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this Life." Acts 5:19-20 ESV

Reflection: Our heart takes comfort in that God's guidance and protection is always with us, even as angelic beings minister to us, while we proclaim the wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father, i now know that i am not alone in sharing your divine love for angels are with me to assist in the fulfillment of your Great Commission.

Complete Healing And Deliverance

The people also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those afflicted with unclean spirits, and they were all healed. Acts 5:16  ESV

Reflection: Every sick and afflicted soul can and should receive complete healing and deliverance from Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

Dear Heavenly Father, i thank you for the full restoration for everyone who call upon the name of Jesus Christ and i am grateful for saving me from sin, sickness and satan.

Sharing Gift Of Encouragement

Thus Joseph, who was also called by the apostles Barnabas (which means son of encouragement), a Levite, a native of Cyprus,sold a field that belonged to him and brought the money and laid it at the apostles' feet.  Acts 4:36-37 ESV

Reflection: Like other spiritual gifts, encouragement in all kinds brings immense joy to both the giver and the receiver for it authenticates the providence of the grace and goodness of Father God.

Dear Heavenly Father, i give you thanks and praise for showing me the generosity of your heart, and the beauty of sharing what you have given me with others.

Champion The Needy In our Church

There was not a needy person among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold and laid it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need. Acts 4:34-35 ESV

Reflection: As Christ's disciples gathered in any location, we must take good care of the needy amongst us as of highest priority for God's love and joy compel us to do so.

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to learn to experience the deeper meaning of contentment, and be grateful of what i eat, wear, sleep, work, play and serve for all these are wonderful provisions graciously bestowed and blessed by you to make me the kind of person you want me to be.

Christ's Resurrection Brings Hope

And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. Acts 4:33 ESV

Reflection: To experience the gospel of God's love is the joyful feeling of the realisation that one day our bodies shall be resurrected, if not raptured, by the power of the Holy Spirit because Jesus has given us this hope.

Dear Heavenly Father, i thank you for loving me and through Christ i am able to receive an immortal body and to be in your embrace eternally.

One Heart And Soul

Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common. Acts 4:32 ESV

Reflection: As disciples of Christ living in God's divine, unconditional love of Heaven, we have this innate desire to put others' needs before us in clear, practical ways for we are of one heart and soul by the wonderful working of the Holy Spirit.

Dear Heavenly Father, may i let your love, peace and joy flow into the lives of the weak, worried and weeping in practical ways today.
